Enrollment Information:

The Alternative Educational Academy is a Michigan charter school serving students from grades 6-12 and through 22 years of age. AEA students attend school online as they complete coursework to satisfy the state adopted, Michigan Merit Curriculum. We currently offer two different learning systems for students to choose from: Plato (provided by Edmentum) or e20/20 (provided by Edgenuity). In addition to the online learning platforms, AEA offers students entering 11th-12th grade the opportunity to enroll in the technical programs located at the Iosco Regional Educational Service Agency (IRESA) in Tawas City, MI. Tech courses offer students training and certification focusing on specific career paths. For more information about our policies, procedures, or how to enroll, please see the links on this page.
